Hi - I'm from Australia - I had the time of my life on the kibbutz and met
lots of great people. I worked in bananas. It was tough work , but I quite
enjoyed it after a few weeks. The idea of communal living may put some
people off - but life at Tel Katzir is almost as modern as anywhere in the
world. It's a shame that the kibbutz has decided not to take any more
volunteers.
The people are honest and genuine, if a little assertive. I think staying on a kibbutz is the best way to find out about Israel, its history and what the people expect for their future.
Anyway - send me an e-mail. I 'd love to hear from you, especially all the volunteers met when I was there
