I was with the Sherut La'am youth group that lived on Ma'ayan Baruch 1966-1967. Leib Golan was our sponsor. I would like to hear from anyone at the kibbutz who remembers me. My sponsor "family" were named Saraleh and Shlomo. I remember Hannah and Amnon Shemesh. I worked in the toddler house with Adela. I was called Shoshana Langeh. Now I am a clinical psychologist. I have 1 daughter, 4 stepchildren, and 8 grandchildren. I loved the time I spent there and think of all of you often. custom smiley

Wow - I am coming to israel in a few weeks for the first time in over 20 years. I spent 6 months at Tel Katzir as part of the Habonim group in 1981. I cant remember names but worked in the avocadoes. Seems like a million years ago but we had the best time. Would love to try and pop in if I am in the area.

Just found the site and it has brought back wonderful memories. I spent about 5 months at Tel Katzir from April/May 1978 to September 1978. To my horror I was put to work in the laundry when I arrived, but it only took two days before everyone realised that my ironing was not up to scratch. I ended up working in the banana fields and I think that at the time I was the first/only girl to do so. I remember spending one day pruning back the dead leaveson the trees. I was told to leave a bitof the dead leaf on the trees, but decided that they looked tidier with all of the brown taken off. The result - next morning the row of trees which I had been working on had all fallen over! I then realised that maybe Jaime kinew best. I loved my time at Tel Katzir and have really enjoyed looking at the photos on this site and reading the messages. Thanks.

I spent 5 months on Tel Katzir in late 1970 until June of 1971. It was the adventure of adventures. I had the greatest time and worked in the fields, with the cows, the chickens,
irrigation and have the fondest memories of that time. A great kibbutz.
